Twinrix is a combined hepatitis A and hepatitis B vaccine manufactured by GSK. It combines purified, inactivated hepatitis A virus with recombinant hepatitis B surface antigen.
Twinrix Adult is indicated for non-immune adults and adolescents aged 16 years and above who are at risk of both hepatitis A and hepatitis B infection.
Twinrix Paediatric is indicated for non-immune infants, children and adolescents from 1 year up to and including 15 years who are at risk of both infections.
The vaccine is supplied as a suspension for injection and should be stored, prescribed and administered in accordance with the current Summary of Product Characteristics and applicable UK immunisation guidance.
