In 2019, Joanne and Ross took ownership of Normedica paving the way for a new era in medical supplies and customer service.
Joanne
OwnerWith extensive experience in the healthcare sector, Joanne stepped confidently into her role as the driving force behind Normedica’s day-to-day operations.
Heavily involved in accounts and finance across the group’s businesses, she brings a sharp eye for detail, strong commercial insight and an unwavering commitment to delivering world-class customer service.
Although Normedica may be smaller than some competitors, it more than holds its own within the healthcare industry.
A large part of that comes from Joanne’s focus on building a knowledgeable, approachable team of professionals who combine expertise with the warmth and personal service often missing from larger suppliers.
Ross
OwnerAfter over a decade working in healthcare as a physiotherapist, Ross recognised an opportunity to support healthcare professionals beyond clinical practice.
In 2019, he and Joanne expanded into medical supplies, establishing Normedica to provide a more complete, end-to-end service for those working on the frontline.
Proud of their North East roots, Ross and Joanne have built a knowledgeable, well-trained team with a clear focus: delivering exceptional service as standard, not as an added extra.
That commitment runs through Normedica and the wider health, care and wellness businesses they own.
For Ross, quality products and reliable service aren’t selling points — they’re the foundation of long-term relationships and the reason Normedica continues to grow.

We offer an extensive range of products from consumables to single use instruments to furniture and fridges, but if you need something outside of our usual stock – just ask. We are always happy to source it for you, and if we can’t, we will put you through to someone who can.

Louise
Sales and Office ManagerDog lover extraordinaire, Billy Idol super fan and proud mum, Louise joined Normedica in December 2021 and quickly became an integral part of the team.
Affectionately nicknamed “Lady Louise” in the office, she brings a touch of glamour to everything she does — whether that’s a hoodie on a busy delivery day or something a little more dressed up.
When she’s not keeping the sales desk running smoothly, she’s at home with her six dogs (yes, six), walking through the woods, sharing photos on the team WhatsApp, or enjoying a well-earned pink G&T with her husband.
As our Sales & Office Manager, Louise is organised, knowledgeable and brilliantly persuasive. If you’ve ever added a few extra items to your basket after a chat, chances are you’ve spoken to Louise!

Rebecca
Head of Procurement and MarketingEvery good office needs a Rebecca — and ours is no exception.
With eclectic taste in music, a creative streak a mile wide and just a hint of a “witchy” vibe, Rebecca keeps the team entertained with stories, sharp observations and the occasional (questionable) dad joke.
She joined Normedica almost five years ago in an admin role and has since progressed into running the procurement department, while also lending her writing skills to marketing and content across the business. Alongside her role here, she’s passionate about creative projects and advocacy work, bringing both empathy and insight into everything she does.
Rebecca has an impressive head for detail — she may occasionally forget where she’s left her coffee, but she can recall a product code without hesitation.
If you’re searching for something specific, she’s the person to ask. Chances are, she already knows exactly where to find it.

James
Delivery & LogisticsJames has been a loyal part of Normedica since we first opened our doors in 2007.
When he’s not (allegedly) out saving the world, he’s making sure our local customers receive everything they need — reliably and on time.
As our longest-serving team member, James has been delivering for Normedica from day one.
It may not arrive in an Aston, but you can count on it arriving safely.
Due to his top-secret status, we can’t share a photo — but if you’re one of our local customers, you may just have the pleasure of meeting him in person.
Blue
Head of Health, Wellbeing & Snack ManagementBringing comfort, calm and the occasional interruption to the office, Blue is a much-loved member of the Normedica team.
As our unofficial Head of Health & Wellbeing, she specialises in boosting morale, reducing stress and ensuring no snack is ever left unattended.
A regular presence around the office, Blue plays her part in creating a positive working environment — and on even the busiest days, she’s guaranteed to raise a smile.
