This 1729-P-1030 Keeler Desk Set consists of a Fibre Optic Otoscope and a Practitioner Ophthalmoscope with two slimline handles.

The Fibre Optic Otoscope Head featured halogen illumination which is transmitted by optic fibres which allows clear and accurate diagnosis of aural images.  The large head has been designed for a totally unobstructed view.  The closed head design is suited to pneumatic testing. It has a large 2.5x magnification lens for a clear view. Disposable specula supplied.

The Keeler Practitioner Ophthalmoscope has a postive maywheel whick allows the user to click through the lens powers.  The soft brow rest allows positioning and protects the lenses of any spectacle wearers.

There are six apertures:

• Wide Angled- for general diagnosis through a dilated pupil
• Intermediate-Very useful in paediatric examinations as it allows easier vision through an undilated pupil.
• Macular-reduces pupillary reaction and patient discomfort
• Slit- To determine retinal elevations and depressions
• Cobalt Blue- For the detection of  scars on the cornea
• Fixation Cross- For assesment of the degree and direction of eccentric fixation

One filter, Red Free which is used to examine the blood vessels in greater detail.
